Bandhan
Spring / Summer '19

Bandhan by ANAAM x RANGSUTRA is a collaboration that brings two different brands with strong aesthetic and beliefs to give birth to something new, fresh and something that reimagines the Indian crafts and sustainable fashion in a way that has never been done before, ultimately highlighting the message that craft is cool, craft is artsy and craft is for all.

Bandhan literally meaning a collaboration or bond between two different identities celebrating the blend of both cultures and beliefs. SS19 is all about celebrating this collaboration between craft x art, sustainability x silhouettes, roots x modernity.

With the motive of breaking the monotony of crafts being an old school practice and thus bringing authentic artisan crafts in a new contemporary version with anomalous silhouettes. Believing in power of craft as an abstract freedom of artistic expression, by using Bandhani we are expecting the society to have the same beautiful transition as seen in the process of doing this craft. Knotting fabrics tightly as if society is resisting freedom with its rigid thoughts and beliefs and the moment we remove all these knots, we find unity, co-existence and rhythm as seen in the bandhani prints.

We have clean, cut, conceptual and classy jewellery by Kabbish. Bags have a very clean, geometric, modern and futuristic feel to it. The shoes are in sync with our collection’s vibe of androgyny, equality and sustainability.
